Description

Opened in 1993, the Regional Sports Training and Activity Center (CDFAS) is a dedicated site for athletic and high level sports training. Initially intended to promote sporting acces to local athletes, the CDFAS now hosts more than 250 000 annual users from national and international federations but also many training and elite sports events. With 7 hectares of sports facilities, the CDFAS, certified «Training Centre for the Paris 2024 Olympics», offers infrastructures and services that will host Team USA for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and the Paralympics. Located in Eaubonne in Val d’Oise, the CDFAS is ideally placed, less than 20 minutes from Paris and Charles de Gaulle airport, and 7 minutes on foot from Ermont-Eaubonne railway station. Driven by accountable and ethical values, together with a sense of sharing and solidarity, the CDFAS continues its dynamic of ambitious development by opening a research and development section on sporting excellence and new trends.

The CDFAS offers high quality sports infrastructures representing more than 45 sports, 144 bed accommodation and a restaurant catering specifically for athletic dietary requirements (300 head service), a regeneration center and training classrooms. Open 7 days a week, the CDFAS is located less than 20 minutes from Paris and is easily accessible by public transport.

Known for

The CDFAS hosts more than 80 sporting events annually, from international to departmental level. Among the major events organized at the CDFAS are the World Aesthetic Gymnastics Championship, the World Plumfoot Championships, the European Dodgeball Championship, various French Championships, the Female International Athletics Meeting, the Pierre TIBY international handball tournament … and other types of events : seminars, exhibitions, cultural events, educational activities … In addition, the CDFAS also hosts regional junior teams. Every year 40% of the French junior team is recruited from the handball section. The women’s basketball section provides between 20 and 30% of the French junior team. Some of the greatest French athletics champions such as Axel Chapelle and Ninon Guillon-Romarin train with the athletics section.Famous former CDFAS athletes include Luc Abalo, Dika Mem, Olivia Epoupa, Diandra Tchatchouang, Heather Arneton …
