Description
Internationally renowned, the Nautical Station *** at Cap’Agde is a major place for boating and yachting. Its location in the center of the Gulf of Lion, the quality of its facilities, its marina and its welcome make it one of the major centers of nautical activity in Occitania, meeting the expectations of the most demanding. Since its creation, the Center Nautique du Cap d'Agde is recognized by the highest federal authorities, which have entrusted it with hosting major national and international events, because of its know-how and its solid experience in the organization and event management. Opened in 1995 and inaugurated by Florence ARTHAUD and Loïck PEYRON, ideally located in the heart of Cap d'Agde, at the entrance to the marina and on the edge of Richelieu beach, it is in the immediate vicinity of the competition courses. A modern complex with all the necessary equipment for the practice of sailing, in the best safety conditions. The Nautical Center site (building and car parks) is fully enclosed and can be a fully reserved space.
Special features
The Nautical Center has many advantages, starting with its geographical location offering immediate access to the exceptional body of water with different navigation areas depending on weather conditions.
Its large building equipped with a lookout and a panoramic terrace allows direct visibility of the regattas at sea. In addition to all the amenities of use inside which make it completely autonomous, the large multipurpose room can easily accommodate a catering service and serve as a refectory.
Its large secure outdoor enclosure includes a large car park entirely dedicated to the Nautical Center and 3 slipways.
The Nautical Station *** of Cap d’Agde offers in addition a multitude of other services such as a very wide range of accommodation and sports structures such as the International Golf (24 holes), the International Tennis Center, the Aquatic Center “Archipel, the City of Water” with its 800 m² spa of relaxation which has a hammam, a sauna as well as treatments with a sports osteopath masseur physiotherapist.

Today’s great champions have distinguished themselves at Cap d’Agde during these championships: François GABART, Nicolas CHARBONNIER and even Sébastien COL.
Cap d’Agde was one of the two permanent villages for the Mediterranean Games in 1993; the City of Agde was also the site chosen for the opening ceremony of these 12th MG.
