Bourgoin-Jallieu has a large sports complex, directly annexed to the Pierre Rajon stadium, and a Sports Palace, each of which meets the demands of the preparers and offers a large range of available activities.

In addition to these facilities, the athletes’ accommodation is only 15 minutes away from the training areas, in the immediate vicinity of the Brand Village. The Mercure Hotel also offers several facilities to continue training outside the city.

It also has an outdoor and indoor swimming pool, a Jacuzzi, tennis courts, a weight room, fitness room and squash court. It will also allow the holding of meetings, or relaxation through access to its game room.

Known for

Bourgoin-Jallieu is best known for its rugby club, CS Bourgoin-Jallieu, a three-time French second division champion, French vice-champion and winner of the 1997 European Challenge.

Bourgoin-Jallieu recently hosted, with the same facilities, the Castres Olympique for the preparation of the semi-final of the Top 14, friendly games of Olympique Lyonnais and ASVEL. In addition to these meetings, it hosted the Men’s and Women’s National Gymnastics Championships and the Cameroonian Women’s Volleyball team in its preparation for the 2019 World Cup in Japan.

Finally, our City has trained great athletes: the Olympic Boxing champion Brahim Asloum, the European and World Handball champion Cyril Dumoulin, the footballer Amine Gouiri or the rugby players Sébastien Chabal, Julien Bonnaire or Morgan Parra.
