Description

Inaugurated in June 2021, Pouliguen's new equipment includes two 3X3 grounds INFRA 2024 labeled and two shooting areas. The land is ideally nestled in a green setting: the wood, located in the heart of the city and in the immediate vicinity of the beach (listed in the club of the most beautiful bays in the world, alongside its neighbors La Baule and Pornichet). In case of severe weather, a retreat is possible at the sports complex, near to the grounds, with a 3x3 ground inside. Meeting room and changing rooms are also available. The train station and the furthest hotel (4 stars, including swimming pool and weights room) are only an 8-minute walk from the grounds.   By train, from Paris-Montparnasse, it only takes 3:15 hours to come to Le Pouliguen and enjoy the benefits of the sea air. The seaside resort is 1 hour by road (expressway) from Nantes-Atlantique airport. The town has been labeled "Sporting City" since 2022.

Special features

The Guérande’s peninsula, with Le Pouliguen at its tip, is equipped with the most comfortable leisure equipment, including several thalassotherapy centers a few minutes from the grounds (with cryotherapy). The wild coast, the salt marshes or the adjoining “Brière” regional natural park will be great playgrounds, ideal for outdoor training sessions. This exceptional living environment also makes it possible to offer, during time off periods, rich moments that will certainly strengthen the cohesion of your teams.

The 3X3 is developing in the territory and attracts many young basketball players from the region, and the tourists to.

With its 21,192 basketball players, the “Loire-Atlantique” department is eternally (but sportingly) competing for first place nationally with the Nord department. Since 2008, the committee has been headed by the youngest president of all the federal structures in the discipline.

Basketball is a historic sport in Le Pouliguen. Esperance Mouette Basket Club is the result of a merger between Mouette Pouliguennaise Basket (1921) and Esperance de Batz-sur-Mer (1935). Today the club has 125 members.
