Description

Located in Pessac, 6km from Bordeaux, in the center of a very well-linked public transport network, the Complexe Sportif Bellegrave is the ideal preparation spot for the national Handball teams, allying high level sport services and quality stay. The Complexe is composed of a multi-sports hall of 4 292m² seating up to 1094 spectators, a dojo, a boxing hall, a physical training room and 4 football pitches including one artificial turf. Perfectly fitted for training as well as competition, this Games Preparation Center offers also a reception area with sound system and screens, leading itself to organise catering, video briefings and any type of meeting. Also, the City of Pessac and Bordeaux University has been tied by a partnership which associate their facilities : the Complexe Sportif Bellegrave and the SMART (Sport Movement Ambition Research Technology), 3km away from each other. The SMART is an intelligent sports hall of 3200 m² with a strong academic positioning (research, education, innovation). It offers two connected and equipped sport rooms, a physical training room as well as an education and seminar area. Thereby, with these two tools, the delegations will be able to develop the several phases of their preparation, both on training and hight performance research. The Pessac territory, rich of his wine-growing and architectural heritage and his vicinity to Bordeaux and the Bassin d’Arcachon, will bring to the teams and their staff an exceptional setting, as well as many outings and visits.
