Description

Conceived in 1998 and approved by the French Basketball Federation for the national competition level, this sports facility is made up of a wooden playground dedicated to the practice of basketball and a weight room. The hall is also equipped with 4 collective changing rooms, several toilets and a social room. Administrative rooms are also available. Equipment can be stored in the physical preparation area. Easy access close to the main roads (notably the town centre - motorway). Two minutes on foot from the public transport (bus and tram Fébus) which links the town centre, 1 minute by vehicle from the motorway, and 15 minutes by vehicle from the airport. A facility with 76 parking spaces. A large grandstand with 547 seats allows you to organise events and welcome the public in the best possible conditions. Known for

The Bruno Tarricq Basketball Hall is the head office of the association Elan Béarnais Pau Nord Est which counts around 400 members, girls and boys, and several teams are playing at national level. The sports facility hosts the training sessions of the Elan Béarnais Pau Lacq Orthez Espoirs team, which plays in Elite Jeeps and hosts friendly matches at national level. The Elan Béarnais professional team sometimes uses this facility as a fallback.

It has also hosted the organisation of the French Adapted Sports Basketball Championship, the ISF World Basketball Championship (School) in 2007, the finals of the Pyrénées Atlantiques Cup, and an international U15 men’s and women’s tournament (2000 to 2015).

On certain occasions, it becomes the venue for the Battle hip hop as part of Urban Session (gathering of urban cultures).
