Description

The center is divided into two venues, the AzurArena and the Antibes shooting range. The first one includes a large basketball arena welcoming the Sharks of Antibes, a nationally known basketball club playing in Pro B. This facility dating from 2013 also includes a large acrobatic gymnastics and trampoline venue, where the town club and the French division see their athletes progress. The second complex is the shooting range, located on the other side of the road from the AzurArena. Ideally located, at the direct exit of the A8 motorway, the center is very well connected and easy to access either by car or by public transport. In addition, it is 5 minutes from the large shopping center of Antibes Nord. It is located at the gates of Sophia-Antipolis, the first technology park in France. Sophia-Antipolis offers high quality accommodation with several 4-star hotels near the AzurArena. The entire center is compliant with the persons with reduced mobility (PRM) technical specifications.

Special features

The center has 2 large venues, one for basketball and one for trampoline, modern, both adaptable and with quality material.

A large car park with more than 600 spaces is available to users and the public. The tram-bus has been serving the site since earlier this year. Its main line stops in front of the AzurArena from the multimodal station and the SNCF train station.

Known for

The AzurArena hosted the Harlem GlobeTrotters, as well as the French Men’s and Women’s basketball teams for their preparation for the European Championships.

The structure also organized the French wheelchair basketball cup finals.

Alexis Raynaud (50m rifle) and Jean Quiquampoix (rapid fire pistol), both Olympic medalists at the 2016 Olympics, train at the shooting range in Antibes.

The French trampoline team trains in the hall of the AzurArena every day.
