Description

Maisons-Alfort has three metro stations (line 8) and two RER stations (line D of the suburban rail network). Close to parks and greenery, the Georges-Pompidou Sports Centre has all the technical features required for Olympic training sessions, offering ideal conditions. Athletes from the Maisons- Alfort Judo Club (JCMA), including the top two men's and women's teams, train at the dojo. The club boasts a number of champions among its past and present members. The Auguste-Delaune Stadium has 400m synthetic running track.  

Special features

Stade : Access to the stadium, sports grounds, changing rooms, showers and toilets meets accessibility standards for persons with reduced mobility. Delegations also have access to a covered grandstand as well as the Palais des Sports, an indoor sports facility located nearby. A swimming pool is located in the immediate vicinity of the stadium.

Known for

Stade : Auguste-Delaune Stadium hosts many athletics and para athletics events. These include a major event open to adaptive sports and para sports, which brings together athletes from all over France and which has been taking place since 2017. Since 2020, Maisons-Alfort and the town’s Friendly Sports Association (A.S.A) has, in partnership with the French Federation of Adaptive Sports, held the Interclub Adaptive Sports Championships, featuring athletes such as Marie- Amélie Le Fur, Timothée Adolphe and Mandy François-Elie. The Stadium also hosted the final qualifying events for the Tokyo Paralympic Games in March 2021.

Dojo : The club boasts a number of champions among its past and present members. These include David Douillet, two-time Olympic gold medallist (Atlanta 1996 Olympics and Sydney 2000 Olympics) and three-time world champion.
