Description

Over the years, Canet en Roussillon has forged an international reputation in the sports field. Equipped with quality equipment, Canet combines the charm of a traditional village with that of its fine sandy beach, at the foot of the Pyrenees, in the heart of a region rich in discoveries. Over the past decades, the Arlette Franco Swimming Center has become a benchmark in international swimming, supported in particular by the Mare Nostrum Swim Meet and hosts numerous national and international competitions. The world's greatest swimmers came to Canet: Alexander Popov, Mark Spitz, Janet Evans, Nathan Adrian, Katinka Hosszu, Ian Thorpe, Laszlo Cseh, Leisel Jones, Sarah Sjostrom; Laure Manaudou, Alain Bernard, Yannick Agnel, ... The Arlette Franco Swimming Center includes: - "Europa" swimming pool, 50m, 8 lines, uncovered; - "Sérandour" swimming pool, 25m, 8 lines, covered; - a 250m² weight room; - a recovery unit (hammam, jacuzzi).

Its new weight training area is specially designed for high level athletes.
