Description

Situated in the heart of Normandie, The club has a very inviting shooting range. It provides a 300metre range with electronic targets and also has numerous other olympic ranges. : 30 firing points for the : 10metre disciplines, 20 firing points for the 50 metre discipline, all complete with electronic targets, and 20 firing points for the 25 metre discipline with electric returning targets ; All disciplines of the’Fédération Française de Tir’ are practised here. Situated 2   hours from the capital access by motorway is very easy. Athletes will be able to enjoy good quality accomodation available at easy distance from the club Argentan boasts a topline Hospital. We are only 1 hour from the sea, and the Carpiquet airport, by car. Carpiquet is situated on the outskirts of Caen. We are able to receive delegations from various countries, with our members able to provide necessary translating . Within the building we have access for athletes with mobility impairment, in particular our meeting room and  cloakroom.

Special features

Due to its experience and know-how, the ‘Ligue de Normandier’ regularly seeks the Argentan club to organise regional competions, notably the INDOOR 10 metre discipline.

Often at weekends 400 shooters from normandie come to the club to gain a French National qualification. Quite regularly regional records are surpassed, which underlines the standard and good organisation of such competitions.

The Centre for Olympic Games Training 2024 of Argentan has the full support of the local club.

The Sports shooters of Argentan are very active.

The club hosts a ‘Shooting School’which is prominent within the’Ligue de Normandie’ and is the shop window for the club.

Every year over a dozen youngsters qualifie for the Normandie Championships : a half-dozen of whom go on to  National Championships. Also graduating from the ‘Shooting School’some shooters have made notable progress in such disciplines as Historical Weapon shooting ; One such person is Alexis MARAIS who came third in the world championships held in Bordeaux in 2006 b(Youth category).

In the near future National Circuit Competions in several disciplines are planned.
