Description

At the heart of Futuroscope High tech park which attracts two million visitors every year, Futuroscope Arena, due to open in May 2022, is a real architectural « gem » with its natural, white façades which blend in naturally with the environment. Its position has been carefully considered to showcase a 180° forecourt. Futuroscope Arena, a 48 X 24m space is designed to welcome main team indoor sports. Its adaptability is its main characteristic and with its arena style configuration, its versatility means that it can welcome sportsmen and women as well as the general public. With 360° seating it offers optimal views for 5000 spectators. Equipped with the latest sporting and communication technology, the equipment is equally accessible to users with reduced mobility. Futuroscope Arena is used daily by the professional Basketball Club, Poitiers Basket 86 which produces Pro B professional champions. As well as being used for sport, it also has many other rooms that may be used by technical teams for meetings, storage space etc. Other facilities include a medical area, an 80 m2 weight lifting room, four changing rooms and a conference room where food may also be served.

Easily accessible by road, Futuroscope Arena is well-placed between Paris and Bordeaux and only 3 minutes from the nearest train station (1 and a half hours from the capital) and 20 minutes from Poitiers airport.  Five minutes away is the hotel complex: 17 establishments are only five minutes away on foot.  As well as being able to eat in the main building, there are many restaurants close to Futuroscope Arena.

Futuroscope Arena is equipped with video technology allowing the live showing of big sporting events.
