Description

At the dawn of 2021, the archery center will reach a covered area of 2000 m² entirely dedicated to the sport of archery, valid and handisport. This structure only dedicated to archery includes indoor and outdoor shooting ranges. The proposed configurations are as follows: - Outdoor shooting range of 36 targets made up of a closed covered shooting range with awning, allowing to shoot at 24 targets at Olympics distances in all weathers and in complete safety, and 12 removable targets allowing shooting at all distances (from 5 to 70 meters). - Indoor shooting, range up to 30 meters, 14 targets - Indoor shooting, range up to 20 meters, 8 targets In terms of accessories, you will find a scoreboard, sound system, WIFI access, LED lighting system, movable targets, wind flags, windsocks and a programmable digital time indicator. A weight room, offices and changing rooms complete the equipment on site.

Special features

From 2021, without leaving the archery center, it will be possible, on this site, which is unique in France and selected for the sporting excellence courses of the French Archery Federation, to have an indoor and outdoor meeting international and Olympic requirements.

Known for

For many years, a large number of archers have passed through the center of Compiegne and have achieved a career as a high-level athlete.
The center’s sporting director, Olivier Tavernier, has won several medals in European and world championships.
The Compiegne site is the place that integrates the most archers within the French training center.
Several world medals and one Olympic medal have been won by past athletes in our training center.
The current president, Philippe Bouclet, was president of the French Archery Federation for 16 years, member of the board of World Archery Europe and vice-president of World Archery from 2008 to 2019.
