Welcome to Yutz! Yutz results from the merger in 1971 of the former municipalities of Basse-Yutz and Haute-Yutz, the city now has nearly 17,000 inhabitants for an area of 13.97 km2. The Anne-Sophie Mathis room is part of a sports complex which brings together two sports development areas, one dedicated to boxing and the other, the dojo, for the practice of martial arts.

The World Champion, Anne-Sophie Mathis, titled in 2011 is at home, in Yutz. The Dombasloise has always forged strong ties with ASBY, the city’s boxing club.
It was also in Yutz, in October 2011, that Anne-Sophie Mathis won her World Championship belt against the American Cindy Serrano during one of her World Championships.
In recognition of his sporting career, the city, in his presence, named the boxing hall of the Schuman complex with his name.
